Headland Food Group
Headland Food Group Pty Ltd (HFG) is a commercial fisher, wholesaler and retailer, established in the Northern Territory in 2018.
HFG’s core industry focus is fishing, seafood processing, wholesaling and distribution and is currently securing a processing facility by way of lease to allow for offload, processing, packaging and distribution of the wild caught fish sourced from their three vessels. Once established, the processing, packaging distribution facility will cover 480m2 with capacity to handle up to 3,000 tonnes per annum.
Local Jobs Fund have provided 2 business concessional loans to Headland Food Group.
- Business Concessional Loan of $400,000 for the expansion of a vertically integrated fishing, processing and distribution business.
- $2 million Business Concessional Loan to assist with the expansion of its commercial fishing operations, and to establish a seafood processing facility in Darwin. It is expected to create 22 local jobs.
