The Northern Territory tourism industry strategy 2030 sets out the strategic direction for industry development over the next decade.
The Northern Territory parks masterplan 2023 to 2053 provides as strategic framework to guide future programs, projects and partnerships that will conserve the natural environment, maintain cultural values and provide opportunities for new and enhanced visitor experiences.
The Northern Territory Government is seeking to grow investment in the Territory’s experiences and infrastructure to meet the demand of the Territory’s tourism market and growing corporate travel and business events markets.

Accommodation infrastructure investment
The Northern Territory Government commissioned KPMG to undertake a market analysis of commercial accommodation options in Katherine, Nhulunbuy and Tennant Creek.
The report highlighted that there is an unmet demand for high-range accommodation across all 3 regional centres and an opportunity for private sector investment with government support.
